Hannah was walking through the streets of Itene as she was buying things from the list her grandma had made for her. It was not long and in only a short time she had walked from shop to shop to buy the things she needed. From food to medicine for her grandma. She wasn’t sick but it was her age that was showing up once in a while. All her muscles were hurting and she could hardly move on such moments. Hannah who was used of many pains and stuff wasn’t used of that. In her eyes her grandmother was a strong woman that could face everything. Already from when she was little she had looked up against this female and while she was getting older her grandma did not show any sign of aging. Or at least she did not showed it. On those moments that her grandma was having one of those days Hannah always was feeling so powerless and afraid.
Now she was calmed down more and she had everything from the list she decided to go home. But as she as she was walking on her way back home she saw someone she recognized. Giving herself the time to make sure it was the person she was thinking he was she made her way closer to him. Seeing him already brought a smile on her face and she decided it was time to surprise him just for her own fun. When she was behind him she putted the few small bags she was holding on the ground and smiled again as she moved forward wrapping her arms around him as she stood behind him. “Dante!” She said with a smile on her face. “I’m so glad to see you again.” It had been a time since the last time they had talked and she had missed his company.

Dante was leaning against a tree. His t-shirt partially soaked in sweat. He was gasping for air, shuffling through his pockets for something. Eventually, after what seemed to be an eternity, he finally found what he was looking for. He had yanked an inhaler out of his pocket. Frantically, he removed the cap, and had put the open end into his mouth, pressing down on the drum. With each press, a puff of medication had entered his lungs. Eventually, the asthma attack was resolved, but he remained by the tree, just to take a moment to relax.
So, how did this happen? Well, he had decided to spend some time with friends today. After cooping himself up in the house to study for the past few days, he felt the need to go outside. The group of friends had played a quick game of basketball. After the game, he had decided to go home. Taking a shortcut over fences through vaulting, he had a quick path going, until he reached the tree, when the asthma attack started.
Pocketing his inhaler, he was about to continue on home. That was when two arms wrapped around him from behind. And a familiar voice had called out to him. It was Hannah, and she sounded happy to see him. With a smile, he had turned to her, giving her a hug as well. "Hi Hannah, I'm glad to see you too!", he told her happily.
It had been quite a bit since he had last talked to Hannah. Life had kept him busy. But with his current exams done, he was free. And maybe he'd try to visit Hannah more often.

“Are you okay?” She noticed how his skin was covered in a thin layer of sweat. Hannah knew he had asthma. It was something he was having even without being infected by the virus. For that she was glad, as she did not knew how worse he would be when he would have the virus. “It seems it is only getting worse.” It always worried her when someone around her was sick. As if it was her fault that they were like that. As if it was her being around them already was enough to make someone sick. It would explain why he hasn’t visited her for a while. But then she realized he had been busy with exams, something that wasn’t something she wasn’t worried about. Since she had come to Atlas she haven’t attempted to go to any school, because she was always too sick to go to it anyway. It made her look less normal, but she just couldn’t.
“You were doing your exams, right? How is it going?” She was so curious about him, how he was living his life. He was so normal and yet he didn’t mind that she was so different. She just could be herself with him. Of course he did not knew she was infected with the virus. It was better for him not to know it. It saved things from getting really nasty. A silence followed between the two friends as Hannah looked at him with a smile on her face. “I missed you.” She said as the smile grown bigger on her face.

After giving Hannah a hug in return, he let go of her. That was when she noticed that he was covered in a thin layer of sweat. She had asked if the boy was okay. After a moment, Dante smiled slightly. "Oh, I'm just fine now. I had another asthma attack. . .", he explained to the girl. And after another moment, he started to speak up again. "And uh, the reason I'm covered in sweat is because I was playing basketball with some friends. . .", said Dante, finally getting that out.
After a moment, she asked him about exams. "Oh, exams are going alright. I have another one coming up tomorrow. . .", replied Dante. While some would say he should have been studying, he had already. For the past three days, he had dedicated his time to studying for it. And to be honest, he had three more to go after this one was done. Not that he had a problem with exams, anyway.
And then, with a bigger smile, Hannah said that she missed him. "I missed you too. . .", said Dante happily. To be honest, even though he had a few friends around, Hannah was one that was really growing on him. And for a moment, Dante felt bad for not being able to visit her. Sure he had his life, but he would have liked to have spent some time with Hannah. Maybe he could try after his exams were done. . . .

“You should be more careful.” Hannah said as she poked him in his side. “I don’t want anything bad happen to you.” She said with a serious tone but then a smile appeared on her face. She sounded way too worried for something like this, but it was something that really had popped in her mind once in a while. There had been moments she had been worried about her friends and family. Most of the time she did not really cared about herself, but more about the others around her. Hannah couldn’t even try to think about losing anyone that stands close to her without feeling an horrible and torturing pain in her chest. Even more when she noticed that they would probably feel the same about her, and she was a Neogena: An infected person that was ticking like a time bomb. Ready to do something completely foolish that would kill someone around her or if she gets sick without a warning. It was a curse not many people knew about her. Even Dante did not knew it and maybe it was just the best for him to not know it. It was not in her nature to make anyone worried or afraid of her, but mostly because she had a secret to keep.
The exams were going good, and there were moments Hannah missed it to go to school. To meet people of her own age and just hang out with them without any worries. Sadly she would be sick most of the time anyway or people would probably call her a freak or something like that because of her blue hair anyway. It all gave her twisted feelings. She wanted to go to school but at the same time her mind told her not to be so foolish and realize that something like that was nothing for her. The good thing was that she did not needed to have any exam. “At least you’re always doing great. Exam or not.” She said with a smile as she had noticed how good Dante was with school. “Anyway you have something to do now?” She asked as she was hoping he had some free time to spend with her.
