Status and occupation: Neogena. Nori is pretty much neutral in this whole ordeal -- he'll run or fight when he has to but he doesn't exactly have the same ideals as the others do and doesn't actively oppose the government. Because he moves around a lot and because of the virus, he can't exactly have a steady job so he does whatever odd jobs he can find around the towns he visits.

Health: Fairly well. Nori has always had a strong immune system. Though, with the virus in his body, Nori's health is somewhat sporadic--some days, he could do all the he used to be able to do and on other days, he can barely get out of bed because of the pain.

Ability:

Necromancy. Not the raise stuff from the dead and make a whole army of zombies kind of thing but more like a psychic medium where he can vaguely communicate with the spirits of the dead. He hardly has any control over this power though. Most of the time, it's like static in the background where he can hear faint murmurs and pick out words here and there. Other times, he can hear a whole cacophony of them, talking and screaming all at once, making the world a confused jumble. Very rarely can he have one on one coherent conversations with the ghosts and when he does, the contact is brief and both physically and mentally draining.

Most of the time, Fuhenori sees the spirits as bodiless floating blobs but occasionally, the spirit has a strong enough will to materialize. When this happens, he can see anything from a faint outline to a detailed apparition. These aren't always pleasant to look at though, especially the ones that have been murdered or experimented on.

Strength:

☆ focused
when nori put his mind to something, chances are, it'll get done. he's not the type of person to let things lie -- if he starts something, he'll finish it. that's just the kind of person he is; he hates leaving loose ends.

☆open-minded
new ideas, crazy ideas, whatever ideas -- they're always taken into consideration. nori is hardly scared to try new things.

☆serious
not quite the person you might expect to stop for a joke, nori is usually all business. he might infulge in some lightheartedness from time to time but mostly, his mind is on a one track path set towards a goal.

☆observant
never one to just look at the big picture, nori has a habit of committing his (somewhat fail) observations to memory. who knows when a smidge of information might come in handy?

☆kind
when he wants to be, anyway. contrary to his stony disposition, nori is actually somewhat of a (socially clueless) gentleman.

Weakness:

☆emotion
despite all his crap on making ties and staying emotionally detached, fuhenori on more than one occasion has let his emotions fly away. no matter how hard he try, he just can't seem to restrain the part of him that feels and more often than not, it makes his life much harder than it has to be.

attempts to stay emotionally detached: fail.
that doesn't stop him from trying though.

☆people
if nori could find a way to interact with just cadavers and inanimate objects for the rest of his life, he would do it in a heartbeat. sadly, reality isn't so ideal. nori is kind of clueless when it comes to people, whether it's reading them, comforting them, giving advice, anything -- he's just not good at it and chances are, he'd make the angry angrier and the sad sadder.

☆tactless and blunt
nori doesn't know how to use his mouth. at all. honest to the point of insulting, he will give the entire, cold, hard truth if he sees fit.

☆thick
nori is rather oblivious to things that happen to him. following orders being somewhat of a forte, nori can be a bit thick in the skull when it comes to figuring things out. tactical advantages of entering through door B as opposed to door A? probably. pros and cons of killing random person C? maybe not. new girl down the street who supposedly has a crush on him? uh...come again?

Weapons:

Fuhenori is mostly a hand-to-hand fighter. With knowledge of pressure points and raised in a family of competitive fighters, Nori is no stranger to combat.

Despite predominantly using his hands as a means for fighting, Nori still carries around a nodachi. Measuring at about 42 inches, Orochi is longer than the average sword. Despite its length, the sword is surprisingly light (to Fuhenori, anyways. Others tell him it's quite heavy and wonder how he can handle it so easily). The handle is red wrapped in black cloth for a better grip and the long black blade (despite its disuse) is kept in the best condition.

While the rest of the blade is rather lacking in ornamentation, the guard (in Fuhenori’s opinion) makes up for it. Carved from a black metal similar to the blade, the guard is made to look like a serpent. It curls around the base of the blade in an almost ouroboros-like fashion. Two red pinpoints mark its eyes and in the right light, they flash almost animatedly.

Inventory: Orochi and in a travel bag, he keeps a few necessities for life, some cash, some pencils/erasers and a sketchbook.

Clothing style: nori isn't very picky. as long as it's black and not too pompous (read: black, simple, and plain), he'll wear it.
Descriptive appearance:

Still rather young, Fuhenori looks to be in his late teens. His rather tall frame (five foot eleven to be exact) is covered with lean muscle giving him a slender appearance. His oval shaped face is framed by long locks of black hair. Falling to about mid back, Fuhenori keeps his hair tied back in a low ponytail at the nape of his neck. However, his hair seems to like escaping its binds for there are always stray strands hanging around his face. He doesn't like cutting his hair but will often unwilling do so when it gets too hard to handle.

Set into his naturally light skin are a pair of silver eyes. They are calculating, always trying to anticipate an opponent’s next move. Coupled with a pair of thin lips that never seem to smile, it doesn’t take long to figure out that his default emotion is a stoic, almost frowning face.

He has many scars from battles but while most are faint on his pale skin and only noticeable upon close infection, he has an ugly welt from a particularly deep cut stretching from his left shoulder blade, over the junction of his neck and diagonally down half of his back. It’s fully healed now but tends to throb dully when the weather is bad.

Fuhenori specializes in combat with both his hands and weapons. Fairly inventive, his knack for creativity on the battle field has gotten him out of a lot of tight spots. He knows enough about pressure points to be about to immobilize, hurt, or even kill a human enemy.

Considering himself pretty competent with a sword and true, he can hold his own for a long time in battle. Relying on strength and speed, Fuhenori makes a formidable foe in close quarters.

Likes:

☁ eating
nori is one of those people you can find in an all you can eat buffet chomping down three plates piled high with food. he's not really picky about what he eats, as long as it's not corn or salmon. nasty things, corn and salmon.

☁ running
there's just something so...calming about dragging your body five miles everyday. it's quite addicting.

☁ reading
the world of books is rather interesting and nori particularly likes to delve into the world of fantasy when he's not on a job or sleeping or eating or any other combination of random things.

☁ autumn
the only time of year when it's not too hot and not too cold and not raining in your toes. and well, it's possibly the most beautiful time of year. not dealing well with temperature extremes, this is definitely nori's favorite time of the year.

☁ sparring
use it or you lose it. despite not really taking up 'dangerous' jobs anymore, nori still likes to stay in top form.

☁drawing
nori likes sketching and over the years, it's become a sort of stress reliever for him. he collects all of his little doodles in sketchbooks. most of them are sitting in a row on a shelf in his apartment gathering dust, but if you go through them, you can see the progression from good to bad.

Dislikes:

☂ idling
unless it's sleeping, he doesn't want any part of it. nori is the type of person who always needs to be doing something productive. sitting around wasting time is..well...sitting around wasting time.

☂ making ties
in a world where the basic law is "kill or be killed" you never know whether or not you'll live to see another day. nori isn't particularly fond of making 'friends', as they're called because a person could die just like that. not getting close to people would save him and others a lot of pain.

☂ loud noises
eardrum blowing is a nono. sorry.

☂ alcohol
feeling it burn as it goes down his through, getting drunk and numbing everything so that he can't feel anymore. it's not exactly a pleasant sensation, and if anything, nori hates alcohol. but hating doesn't mean he won't consume it.

☂ winter
it's winter. it's cold, freezing... what's there to like?

Phobia's/ fears: His ability -- he's afraid he'll see her.
Ambition/ desires: To get over this god damn virus so the government could stop chasing him and to find his brother (or maybe not huhuhu ~)
Descriptive personality:

At first glance, Fuhenori may seem a little hard to approach. Perhaps his stoic disposition shoos people away, or perhaps it's his default scowling expression. Regardless, Fuhenori considers himself to be a fairly friendly person. Even around strangers, he never really intends to give anyone the cold shoulder. However friendly he might be, though, he is always somewhat of a potty mouth (especially when he's mad).

Fuhenori is always somewhat reserved. He dislikes talking about himself and his past in general, preferring to direct the topic of conversation to other things. Silent and observant, he tries his best not to let little details escape notice. But his tendency to be quiet has nothing to do with not liking a person or being anti-social. Au contraire, Fuhenori just doesn't have that much to say.

Charisma has always been a problem for the young man. A self proclaimed realist (with a bit more pessimism than he'd ever care to admit), Fuhenori would be the last person to expect the sappy "everything is going to be okay" speech from. Fuhenori tends to be too blunt at times. You want the truth? Well here it is, cold and hard without the silver lining. And don't even get him started on comforting people. Fuhenori is just about as good at that as a chicken is at flying.

Versed in all manners of seriousness, Fuhenori can be considered somewhat of a workaholic. He likes it when everything goes without a hitch and is more often than not focused on work. He is fiercely loyal and would back up a close friend without batting an eye.

Fuhenori only really ever acts on impulse when he's extremely angry. And having a long fuse, it takes a lot for him to get that mad. Most of the time, he tries (and fails) to think things over before acting. He has a fairly good hold on his emotions. Being able to keep them off his face and detach them from whatever he's doing, one can never really tell what he's thinking.
